Servetech IT acquires browser game Gangs of America

Over the past month things have been extremely busy at Servetech IT, with the new browser game Themepark Manager still in heavy development for the new version. However towards the end of January it came to light that browser game Gangs of America, initially based upon our existing game Gangster Nation, was up for sale as the original owner didn't have the time any more to continue maintaining it.

We watched the bidding which went on at website auction place Flippa, though there was some interest the auction completed with no bids. So at this point we decided rather than let the website slip away we would make an offer and as of February 1st 2010 Gangs of America has moved into our possession.

The website is very small so we will not be dedicating a majority of our time to it but there will now be active work going on as we move it onto our own browser gaming management platform and improve gameplay for the small community there. Once we have completed with initial works on the website we will be doing some marketing, with Chris Leah (who directs all marketing and promotion of Themepark Manager), looking to grow the website a little bigger than it is now.

Having said all of this, our number one priority right now is Themepark Manager but this was worth a mention to keep all of our visitors, followers and browser gaming fans up to date.

If you like gangster themed browser games and Gangster Nation doesn't tickle your fancy, then the alternative Gangs of America may be worth a play - there are more features and things to do but a smaller community.

Gangs of America can be accessed at http://www.gangsofamerica.net, the previous URL http://www.gangsofamericagame.com will continue to point to the new location for at least another year.
